Originally bred by farmers on the River Clyde in Sctoland, Clydesdales became associated with Anheuser-Busch on April 7, 1933 to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.

Dalmatians have traveled with them since the 1950's. In the early days of brewing, Dalmatiams were trained to protect the horses and guard the wagon when the driver went inside to make deliveries.
